We are delighted to announce that we have another newly qualified approved driving instructor (ADI) – Vicki Henwood. Vicki passed the final qualifying test in February and is now offering driving lessons in the Honiton and Ottery St. Mary areas.

Driving Instructor Honiton

Vicki started training with us after being disappointed with the lack of support she was getting with a national training company. This underlines what we often say to people looking to train – “beware the cost of cheap – prepare to pay twice”. Fortunately Vicki realised this very early and so had not invested very much money prior to switching to us.

After covering the required 40 hours minimum training she applied for her trainee licence which enabled Vicki to take learners and be paid for the tuition she gives, whilst having some of the lessons monitored by Kevin, one of our ORDIT registered trainers (Christie is the other).  Vicki very quickly showed how good she is by successfully guiding a number of her learners through their driving test – including her own daughter! It is c lear that driving to a high standard runs in the family – all three of Vicki’s children have passed their practical driving tests – with a combined total of driving faults in single figures!

You can find out more about Vicki in our ‘Meet the Team‘ page.

If the idea of becoming a driving instructor appeals to you then we would love to hear from you and talk to you about what is involved. We are always lookjig to expand our team so we can provide more lessons to the large number of people who contact us looking for lessons.

There are very few people who are not suited to become an approved driving instructor – check out the requirements

You can find more information about our own training course on our website.
