ADI success! We are delighted to announce that Carrie, one of our trainee instructors, is a trainee no longer! She has passed the final qualifying test (Part 3) with flying colours and is now a fully qualified Approved Driving Instructor (ADI).

Carrie has now completed the process to become a driving instructor and will be able to display her green badge from now on and will no longer have the ‘pink badge’ which trainee instrcutor have to display when they are on their trainee licence.

Part 3 success

Carrie’s journey has been an eventful one as she has actually qualified on the last of the three attempts she is allowed to take. She passed her theory test (Part 1) at the first attempt and then took two attempts to pass her advanced driving test (Part 2). She admitted to “driving like a ****” on her first but then sailed through on the second time with just one driving fault in the whole hour length test!

After covering the required 40 hours minimum she then applied for her trainee licence which has enabled her to take learners and be paid for the tuition she gives.  Carrie clearly showed an aptitude for this job by successfully guiding a number of her learners through their driving test. By her own admission – and probably due to nerves – she didn’t fully implement all the strategies she should have used in her first two Part 3 tests. But it all came good in the end and Carrie can now look forward to changing her career!

You can find out more about carrie in our ‘Meet the Team‘ page.
